Central Iowa Shelter & Services is a proud member of the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry network. The DMARC Food Pantry Network consists of 14 separate partner food pantries, located in West Des Moines, Ankeny, Johnston, Urbandale, Clive, Des Moines, and through the DMARC Mobile Food Pantry. In 2017, the DMARC Food Pantry Network assisted more than 46,000 individuals in the Greater Des Moines area.
Individuals can access the food pantry once per calendar month and may receive a three-day food supply for each member of their family. Donations of food and paper products, as well as fresh produce, are welcome at any time for the food pantry.
You can support the pantry by donating canned goods, fresh produce, and paper products, and by volunteering to keep the pantry open and serving those in need.
