Case Manager – Rolling Hills

This position is a direct service position that serves individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness throughout the Rolling Hills Region. These clients are unsheltered, living on the streets, in places not meant for human habitation, and identified as frequent users of emergency services such as shelter, or hotel stays. Case Managers work to link clients with mental health, physical health, and substance abuse services; collaborate with community partners; and help people to develop natural support systems. In addition, this individual will assists clients with self-sufficiency and financial independence through the following comprehensive services: individualized assessment of strengths and barriers, connection to long term community supports; development in the clients’ communities; team consultation and collaboration with other case workers; and affordable housing placement.

Donor Relations Specialist

The Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for assisting the development department in expanding community outreach through internal and external communications, media relations, community engagement, public involvement, networking, volunteerism, and donor retention.

Event Intern

Paid student internship working 20-30 hours a week (depending on class schedule). The internship program will provide the student with relevant skills in a variety of event planning and execution functions via on-the-job training. This role focuses on developing skills in event planning, donor outreach, and database management.

Shelter Advocate

The Shelter Assistant is collaborative supporter and a member of the Operations Team with the objective to support the mission of Central Iowa Shelter & Services and the clients served by assisting clients with all of their needs while establishing and maintaining an environment for clients that is consistent with agency values.

Street Outreach – Rolling Hills

This position is a direct service position that serves individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness throughout the Centerville and Rolling Hills area. These clients are unsheltered, living on the streets, in places not meant for human habitation, and identified as frequent users of emergency services such as shelter, or hotel stays. The fundamental goal of this position is to identify unsheltered people experiencing homelessness through direct street outreach activities and through community referrals from mental health, hospitals, local law enforcement and municipalities and other social service agencies. In identifying the highly vulnerable, the Street Outreach Worker will administer assessment tools, facilitate placement into emergency housing/shelter, if needed, and connect to social services and permanent housing.

Technical Team Lead – Mobile App and Web Component Development

As the Technical Team Lead, you will manage and guide a remote, offsite team of developers in completing and supporting the development of our mobile app. Your role will involve establishing and overseeing the technical aspects of the app’s architecture, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring the team delivers functional, scalable, and secure code in an iterative agile manner. In addition to the mobile app development, you and your team will be responsible for building the integrated web-based component, establishing necessary connections and integrations to ensure usability and effectiveness
