Looking to the Future

Following years of planning, feasibility studies, a community task force and leadership discussions with state, county and city elected officials, CISS has advanced to the fundraising stage of its $14.5 million Capital Campaign.

CISS seeks support in building a new 40,000-square-foot opportunity center, increasing our capacity and providing for additional space for services. Located on Mulberry, directly south of our current shelter site, the CISS location remains accessible to Des Moines’ homeless population.
